Job Summary

AECOM Middle East is currently seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Global Delivery Center in Gurgaon, near New Delhi, India.

The main purpose of the role is the coordination of activities between our Abu Dhabi office and the Global Delivery Center.

The successful candidate will have proven ability to work well under pressure with a pragmatic approach to multi-tasking and the ability to think beyond current working practices are critical to this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To work in tandem with discipline leaders and share the responsibility of successful project delivery through leadership and technical guidance in digital delivery and BIM across multiple concurrently running projects.

  • To ensure the quality of BIM models through robust setting up, QC and course corrections where necessary and aligned to standard operating processes in consultation with respective lead regions.

  • To employ and retain talent by actively participating in hiring, employee development, and retention schemes

  • Delivering top quality work to internal clients – Client satisfaction survey on projects

  • Achievement of project goals – on time, to the budget & meet quality benchmarks

  • Development (mentoring/coaching & training) and retention of skills in line with the strategy

  • Optimal utilization of resources – Achievement of targeted utilization levels

  • Strong team morale based on engagement and accountability – Employee survey feedback

  • Reviewing and checking Reports and drawings to ensure the quality of output.

  • Provide high-level technical expertise when applying Design / Engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of building projects.

  • Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.

  • Communication to governmental authorities.

  • Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.

  • May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists.

  • May work on mid size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades.

Minimum Requirements

  • 15 years+ of experience working in Architecture or Engineering design.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in international projects.

  • To work for the design of the residential, commercial, retail and hospitality sectors.

  • Be knowledgeable in either Architecture or Building Engineering field (Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical) and technical standards (Chartered Professional).

  • Previous work experience in the GCC is a requirement, Ideally in the UAE of KSA

The role will be based in Gurgaon, New Delhi, however there will be frequent travel between India and the UAE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering Discipline.

  • Should be knowledgeable in building design, associated regulations, and technical standards.

  • Experience in Revit and BIM360, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Capable of working on own initiative.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Good attention to details.
