Job Summary

  • Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:

  • Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,

  • Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,

  • Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.

  • Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).

  • Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.

  • Manages other Project Managers.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree and 4+ years of professional relevant experience.

Full understanding of Alberta Tier 1/2 and CCME guidelines, in particular with regards to assessment and remediation for oil and gas clients.

Experience designing and coordinating remedial excavations and Phase I, II and III ESAs

Demonstrated project management and client development experience in the environmental business line

Preferred Qualifications

P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Biol., or PMP registration preferred

Experience working on projects for major oil and gas clients

Knowledge of operations management.

Experience with Regulatory Applications & Documentation

Experience with Site Inspections, Regulatory and Environmental Compliance, Geological and Hydrogeological Evaluation, Conceptual Site Model development and validation and Risk Assessment

Experience developing and implementing project scheduling, monitoring and tracking systems

Experience in Contract Management/Administration

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Contract development and contractor management

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Strong Client management skills

Ability to manage time effectively and competing deadlines

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word

High capacity with a can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
