Job Summary

AECOM India is seeking a Automatic Fare Collection System Expert for an upcoming Metro bid in South Asia established team and provide technical expertise in delivering our challenging projects.


  • Review and supplement the details given in DPR mainly on AFC design aspects.

  • Prepare DBR for AFC System.

  • Develop suitable model for 'seamless travel and integration with other modes of transport

  • Produce PO document, get involved in PO process and prepare PO evaluation report for shortlisting the agencies for the depot equipment, plant and machinery contract

  • Prepare outline design/ specifications/ Tender design and tender documents for the AFC System contract

  • Produce the implementation programme for AFC System Contract.

  • Assist MEGA in activities during the tender process pre-bid meetings, clarifications to tender queries, tender addendum, etc.

  • Carry out tender evaluation and prepare tender evaluation report (technical and financial) and perform other activities leading to award of the AFC System contract

  • Finalize contract documents

  • Project management of the AFC System contract till T&C

  • Manage the AFC System Team's role and interfaces with other systems during the implementation stage for review and proof checking of contractor's design, equipment specification and all other submissions, and supervision and monitoring of the installation, testing and commissioning of the works.

  • Handle day-to-day technical matters.

  • Attend meetings with MEGA’s senior management, contractors and other stake holders

  • Get fully involved in the integrated testing of station systems particularly related with the interfaces with Fire and TVS/ECS systems.

  • Contribute in preparation/finalization of relevant O&M manual.

  • Contribute in planning the training for O&M staff of MEGA.

  • Any other task or responsibility which is stated or intended as per TOR contained in RFP for GC services,

  • Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements and compliance of ISO Documentation/Reports.

  • Responsible for day-to-day activities, reports, budgeting and optimal capacity utilization of resources.

  • Coordinating and following up with client to ensure progress as per the agreed scope and overall project schedule.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidate should have at least 10 + years of experience post qualification.

  • Should have experience in working in a similar position for at least 1 railway project in DMCs of ADB.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills
