Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Senior Manager in support of our Public Assistance initiative. This program involves training, planning, project management, technical assistance and strategic policy support in service to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance mission. Qualified candidates may have achieved this experience at the local, state, or federal levels supporting Public Assistance activities.

The Senior Manager, working closely and in concert with the client and other key management staff, will serve in a key role directing day-to-day management and will be instrumental to the successful development, implementation and delivery of the program. The Senior Manager will be required to balance and appropriately address the needs/concerns of all stakeholders impacted by this program, including but not limited to the client, public, local businesses, other agencies and the State and Federal regulatory community.

The Senior Manager will also work with clients to maintain the capability to deliver the Public Assistance Program in a timely, efficient, effective, and consistent manner. This position will lead development and drive implementation of resource loaded scheduling tools, plans and procedures required to manage tasks in a programmatic, process-driven manner. This position will also be responsible for contributing to the overall Readiness Plan which will convey to FEMA the overall readiness approach and technical understanding of our program team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business or related technical field

  • 15+ years minimum experience performing program management functions

  • Excellent communicator

  • Proactive problem solver

  • Ability to adjust to changing job environments

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to lead and resolve issues

  • Confident and well-spoken

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Public Assistance experience (at local, state or federal level)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or scientific/infrastructure field

  • PMP certification

  • Active Professional Engineer or Architecture license
