Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Scientist / Project Manager to be part of our asbestos/lead/mold program in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following which will be performed within a geographic territory:

  • Preparing reports and other technical documents

  • Managing asbestos related projects

  • Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data

  • Conducting asbestos surveys

  • Conducting lead paint inspections

  • Conducting mold / indoor air quality surveys

  • Conducting universal and general hazard inventories surveys

  • Candidate will travel within a geographic territory conducting inspections (NC, SC and VA)

Minimum Requirements

Must Have Skills/Experience (Including any required Certifications):

  • BS Degree in Geology, Biology, Environmental Science

  • Asbestos Certifications (Inspector, Project Monitor, NIOSH 582, Supervisor and Designer)

  • Ability to travel up 50% of the time

  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • DOT and RCRA Training

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe

  • Experience working in SharePoint platform

  • Aerial Lift Experience

Additional comments:

Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. This position will require travel to multiple client sites within NC, SC and VA. Due to the nature of the industry, there are times when weekend and evening work will be required, potentially on short notice. This is a fast paced position and the candidate must be flexible with schedules and able to adapt quickly.
