Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a

TS Cleared Skilled Carpenter , with additional skills in ductwork assembly, to provide installation expertise for an overseas project. The position will be located at the Kadena Air Base in

Okinawa, Japan .

This is a contingent position.

It is anticipated that this assignment will last for 4-6 months.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Performing all tasks and assignments in a safe and effective manner.

  2. Perform layout of construction requirements utilizing drawings and specifications.

  3. Perform selective demolition at the project site and removal of refuse from the area.

  4. Installation of architectural assemblies to include metal framing, drywall, suspended ceiling systems, raised floor systems, architectural finishes, doors, locksets and miscellaneous assemblies in support of the project requirements.

  5. Erection of scaffolding and platforms, as required, to support the project requirements.

  6. Cleanup of the work areas and maintaining the work areas free of clutter and debris.

  7. Perform material handling in support of the architectural requirements, as well as the overall project requirements.

  8. Support multi-discipline needs in support of the project requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Vocational/technical training beyond High School.

  • At least 7 years’ experience in the architectural trade.

  • Demonstrated proficiency of architectural skillset through trade school, technical school and/or experience.

  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance prior to your start date.
