Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to technically diagnose, mitigate/troubleshoot issues, and contribute to an on-site team providing 24x7 support to the C2BMC application suites that are globally dispersed in different time zones.
  • Experience in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all of the following platforms: Linux, UNIX, Windows servers, Windows clients.
  • Participate in system/networking troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance activities, to include on-site and/or telephonic maintenance support.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Technical Skill Required:
  • Experience with IBM SmartCloud Control Desk (SCCD), user interface customization and development.
  • Familiar with Database Administration and Application to ensure uptime, performance, resources and security of the system is sustained and anomalies are fixed efficiently.
  • Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
  • General understanding of trouble ticket processes and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in Windows and Redhat system administration, software installation, and patch management.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills, log analysis, and problem solving techniques.
  • Familiar with imaging software, creating/installing ISO, and staging software for installation across network.
  • Proficiency in VMWare, VSphere, ESXi hosts, virtual machines, Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and/or Excel.
  • Be a self-starting problem solver and possess the capability to work with limited supervision and support troubleshooting to resolution.
  • DOD Active secret clearance

Education Required:
Minimum: 4 years of experience with a Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics): Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP). Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Position is normally Mon - Fri: may require on-call, evening and weekend support during system anomalies and or tests.
  • Position may transition to extended hours (second shift) dependent upon mission requirements.

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
