Organizational Description:
The Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) RF Systems Department has the responsibility to design, develop, and maintain complex engineering test systems (missile flight simulators) that operate real-time and closed-loop with the weapon’s hardware and software.

Job Description:
This position is for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer , G11, who has the educational and professional experience in the development and implementation of software applications.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.


Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a DoD issued security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Greater than 10 years of applicable professional engineering experience

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience developing and testing software using C++ or closely related software language
  • Demonstrated experience leading software development teams
  • Experience developing in an object-oriented software environment
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment

Desired Skills:
  • Experience developing software for real-time operating environments
  • Experience working with the Linux operating system, or closely related operating systems
  • Experience working with software configuration management principles and tools

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related degree.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
