Job Summary

This role will provide leadership, direction and coordination for regional projects and clients and will interact with senior managers in developing planning initiatives. He or she would also nurture, train, supervise and evaluate junior staff and recruit additional staff depending upon growth of the market area.

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a variety of environmental investigation and remediation projects throughout the Western Region.

This role will collaborate with senior staff and report to a senior department leader. Candidates will support existing clients while helping to identify and develop new business opportunities in solid waste, civil and environmental services, including new clients and markets, as well as assist in developing effective proposals, presentations, and bids.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or AA/AS with 8 years of relevant experience.

Must have a valid driver's license

Must be able to travel as needed for project or client requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering (Civil/Environmental/Geotechnical/geology)

  • Minimum of 10 years' of experience in the Hazardous Waste Remediation sector.

  • Professional registration (i.e. PE or PG in CA or ability to gain through reciprocity).

  • Experience with the full scope of environmental experience includes site assessments, field investigations, underground storage tank investigations, RCRA and CERCLA site investigation and remediation as well as environmental monitoring of soil, water and air.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, which includes being comfortable and effective at communicating complex technical knowledge and concepts to other staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.

  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
