Job Summary

The Space Planner is a member of the Design Team in Engineering and is responsible for providing space planning coordination and minor renovation design packages for the site.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate site space requests from initiation to execution;

  • Serve as administrator for the site Space Management Board;

  • Prepare, develop and manage documentation for facility modifications;

  • Facilitate the creation and review of site facilities architectural/space/furniture/signage standards;

  • Prepare and deliver facilities space reports and presentations as required;

  • Develop and implement change management practices for space planning efforts;

  • Conduct surveys to document present space use;

  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Good understanding of construction practices and basic architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical design;

  • Ability to read and interpret designs, diagrams and schematics.

  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD (release 2014), enough to complete conceptual and planning drafting requirements;

  • Apply an iterative design process while at the same time managing customer driven deadlines;

  • Be able to translate design solutions to a quantifiable conceptual cost estimate;

  • Manage multiple projects at the same time and at different lifecycle stages;

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications;

  • Diverse knowledge of architectural and space planning principles;

  • Demonstrated diverse knowledge of architectural and site planning principles.

  • Understanding of US code and standards to include Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate to the multiple facets of the Engineering team, OASIS services areas, and Customer;

  • Demonstrated planning and organizations skills including the ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.

  • Uphold the Code of Conduct and adhere to Program and Company policies.

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Undergraduate degree – Engineering, Architecture or related field from an accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalent education;

  • Current drivers’ license

  • Must possess a Top Secret Clearance for (US) candidates or a PV Clearance for (AUS) or have the ability to acquire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP and SharePoint basic functionality;

  • Demonstrated facility renovation and project management experience;

  • ARCHIBUS experience

  • Registered Professional Engineer or Architect

  • PMP Certification

  • Australian White Card
