Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an independent, progressive professional with an outstanding business and technical presence to assist in growing, managing, and developing environmental remediation and investigation services in the Northern California and greater Western Region.


  • Assist clients in developing strategies and planning for site redevelopment and cleanup.

  • Prepare project work scopes, schedules and budgets.

  • Mentoring for junior geologists, scientists, and engineers.

  • Evaluate field data, perform calculations and prepare technical reports.

  • Provide field exploration support as needed for site investigation, feasibility study evaluation, and remedy implementation.

  • Provide technical support on environmental projects related to performance assurance, compliance, and transactional services

  • Interact with AECOM offices worldwide to generate proposals and coordinate projects.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or AA/AS with 6 years of relevant experience.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Must be able to travel as needed for project or client requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Geology or Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering. MS or higher degree a plus.

  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience in environmental investigation and remediation

  • Experience in managing people and projects. Construction management familiarity a plus.

  • General understanding of U.S. environmental regulations.

  • FE/GIT, PE or PG preferred

  • Excellent verbal, writing, and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated ability to research and prepare concise and accurate technical documents.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a project team.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, which includes being comfortable and effective at communicating complex technical knowledge and concepts to other staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.

  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
