ManTech is seeking Top Talent as a Launch Integration Engineer to support our Air Force and Space Division.

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

Location: Patrick AFB, FL

The Launch Integration Engineer will:

  • Provide Launch System integration support to the Enterprise Corps Launch Directorate (SMC/ECL) through the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Contract at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida 
  • Work will include support to the United Launch Alliance Atlas and Delta family of launch vehicles and SpaceX Falcon and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles along with their respective launch complexes 
  • Include support to new Launch Service Providers as they are brought on contract 
  • Understand concept analysis, analysis/review of designs and test plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, complex system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems
  • Provide evaluation, assessment and status of Launch Service provider (LSP) processing activities and problem resolution 
  • Provide technical assessments of launch campaign planning to support various readiness review processes
  • Plan program development and maintenance
  • Manage console operations and monitoring/analyzing real-time launch vehicle data
  • Develop mission unique requirements and derived requirements identification
  • Monitor and verify all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle transportation and processing requirement
  • Provide assessment on payload integration requirements, ability of the LSP and the Range to meet payload requirements, and assist in identifying risks/issues to the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Launch Mission Manager and 45 Operations Group Leadership.  Gather data and assist in technical information flow between NRO and mission managers
  • Provide technical evaluation of and production of technical products for on-console NSSL launch/processing operations and  rehearsals
  • Assess, evaluate, update and execute the Rehearsal Anomaly Team process including developing and executing anomaly scenarios, scheduling necessary exercise resources, and supporting the lessons-learned process.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or STEM Field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in launch systems integration, launch or satellite vehicle processing and ground systems required due to complexity of work being performed. 

  • Experienced in system engineering and project management and working with senior Government program managers and various contractor support staffs as well as in a multi-disciplinary, geographically separated team environment.

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Work as an integral team member of the SE&I Team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial business applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
