Relevant experience includes supporting large projects related to the individuals subject matter expertise. Advanced expertise in functional domains such as finance, personnel, acquisition, etc. Experience as a Project Manager. Prepares and delivers presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives. Assures the proper use of current or requested programming, testing and documentation techniques. Produces and/or reviews substantive and/or complex documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of areas as identified in the statement of work. Requires Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Education, Human Resources Development, and Psychology or other related disciplines and twelve to fifteen years of experience or Masters degree and ten to twelve years of related experience or PhD and eight to nine years of related experience.

ManTech is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering support to Research and Development (R&D) programs and projects within the S&T targeted for State, Local, and Tribal Law Enforcement and First Responders. This is a new position that will be directly matrixed to the applicabe R&D Division and Program teams. Candidate will be expected to provide a systems engineering perspective to advise the program manager in defining, planning, and executing the R&D program and associated projects related to systems employed by first responders and law enforcement across the homeland security enterprise. A successful candidate must be able to critically analyze issues; develop and communicate recommendations; obtain consensus and work in teams.

· Assess a mission/capability at the strategic level to bound the mission/capabilities and ultimately help S&T focus on the right First Responder R&D activities to support the mission.

· Work ans support the formulation of R&D programs and projects and then work for the R&D PMs to provide technical support and oversight to the R&D programs.

· Work with the applicable R&D Division Manager and PM in the planning and definition of new programs/projects, developing technology roadmaps, conceptual architectures, and defining/decomposing requirements.

· Support the transition of the technologies being developed to applicable Acquisition Programs or commercialization avenues.
