KBR is searching for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to perform mechanical/electrical analysis projects specifically for the USAF. Specifically, the engineer will perform analyses, plan and draft documentation to address mechanical or electrical systems, and ensure systems integration requirements are achieved for projects including, but not limited to, reverse engineering, prototype development, and qualification testing. The engineer will be required to research and understand Military Specifications with regards to nuclear hardness testing requirements including radiation, and emissions in the performance of prototype qualification testing.
Tasks include but are not limited to: researching system specifications, providing engineering assessments and technical oversight during testing. Reviewing subcontractor designs and ensuring system integration requirements are achieved. The engineer will use SolidWorks or other CAD programs to create 3D models and drawings of mechanical or electrical components.
Under the direction of a senior engineer, the engineer will develop and manage large spreadsheets and will write technical reports detailing analyses. Ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of solid modeling principles and basic drafting techniques. This position may be tasked to support various USAF weapon systems as needed. Required travel up to 25%.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited University.

Applicant must be a US Citizen with eligibility for a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
More qualified candidates will possess:
Current Secret Level or higher Security Clearance
Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited universities1-2 years of Systems Engineering experience
Experience working on military systems including but not limited to ICBM mechanical or electrical systems
Experience working with ISO9100 requirements
