As a System Administrator for KBR, you will be enabling personnel to accomplish the mission of supporting systems for the Warfighter that enable our national security and defense strategies. You will use your well-developed knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems to implement patches and troubleshoot problems. You will be applying STIGs to environments, following DoD guidelines. You will use your knowledge of SQL Server to assist customers with database administration. Your dedication to customer service and hard work will result in an operational environment that meets the customer’s needs and ultimately, delivery of services that enable personnel to accomplish the mission at hand.
Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience; Associates Degree with 9 years of experience OR 11 years of experience in lieu of degree. Must have strong working experience with Systems administration and familiarity with Linux and Windows operating system maintenance, to include patching, applying STIGs, and managing permissions. The candidate must have outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and respond quickly to provide options and action plans to solve the problem. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must be willing and able to maintain technical knowledge and skills. Must be customer service oriented and have a strong work ethic. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to meet DOD 8570. Security + and computing environment (Linux, Windows, CCNA, etc) certification required.
