SAIC is currently looking for candidates to join our OMDAC SWACA II team upon award. Team SAIC is pursuing the opportunity to provide operation, maintenance, and defense support of Title X communications equipment and information systems under the purview of the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate units in the Southwest Asia (SWA) Theater of operations. Positions are located in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Qatar and include a range of qualifications.
The Network Engineering team will be responsible for the theater WAN architecture below the DISA Tier0 and typically above the tier2 enclave including daily operations, maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, VPN’s, type 1 encryption devices, IDS/IPS, proxy servers, etc. Must have expert knowledge, the ability to troubleshot and resolve issues with OSI layer 2 & 3 technologies, application protocols, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP routing protocols and work with both strategic and tactical WAN engineering counterparts to ensure traffic flows appropriately. Evaluate WAN traffic patterns and make adjustments to optimize performance, provide QoS and maximize reliability in a constantly evolving network. Responsible for design, configuration, installation, integration, testing and documenting changes to multiple classified and unclassified networks in accordance with best engineering practices and DoD regulations. Responsible for management of VPN tunnels, routing Access Control List (ACL) and performance of Active Directory/Exchange messaging over the WAN.
Minimum years experience is 5+ years related experience in OSI Model, Cisco networking equipment to include routers, switches, firewalls, Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System (IDS/IPS); Protocols to include (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP) DISA Circulars; minimum years of experience is dependent on level
CCNP or higher; UNIX and Windows Certs (desired)
