Description

SAIC is currently looking for candidates to join our OMDAC SWACA II team upon award. Team SAIC is pursuing the opportunity to provide operation, maintenance, and defense support of Title X communications equipment and information systems under the purview of the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate units in the Southwest Asia (SWA) Theater of operations. Positions are located in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Qatar and include a range of qualifications.

The UPS/Generator Technician will be responsible to test back-up power generators and associated UPS, in accordance with DISAC 350-195-2. Responsible for performing operator level maintenance for UPS, Generators, Fuel Delivery System, ATS/MTS, and HVAC systems IAW applicable TM’s, AR 385-1, AR 750-1, DA PAM 750-8, and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specified maintenance procedures. Perform monthly PMCSs of all batteries, UPS systems, and generators to include bringing systems on line (load) and taking precise measurements validating operational readiness, to include routine maintenance preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) of HVAC. Test UPS batteries according to manufacturer specifications, and replace as required. Recording and maintaining records of all maintenance performed immaterial of who performs the maintenance. Additionally, are responsible for ensuring internal temperature alarms (digital thermometers) are placed in communication facilities with remote management capability to report excessive temperature alarms.

 

Qualifications

HS or equivalent

Minimum years 5+ years of related experience performing maintenance, services and overhaul of Combat, Tactical, Engineer, Power Generation and Ancillary Support equipment at the Mechanic or Inspector level.

Previous military experience with a 62 and 63 series MOS preferable.

Experience with blueprints, wiring schematics, flow charts and hydraulic diagrams.

Minimum years of experience is dependent on job level

Active Secret security clearance required
