SAIC is seeking experienced personnel for the DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office Policy, Plans and Analysis directorate to develop plans, policies, and strategies in collaboration with CWMD office, DHS, and interagency Federal, state, and local stakeholders.
The Senior Planner applies operational research and planning analysis processes and technical techniques to provide the services required. Leverages subject matter expertise and organizational business processes to support the government to provide DHS components steady state and contingency plans for WMD and health related matters
The Senior Planner will support the following:
• Development and coordination of steady state and contingency plans for DHS on WMD, technical nuclear forensic, health security, and related matters (e.g. the Inbound and Domestic R/N Plan).
• Coordination of, and participation in, development of external operational and contingency plans related to WMD, technical nuclear forensics, health security, and related matters (e.g. the CWMD Office’s participation in the Southern Border Approaches Campaign Plan).
• Assisting DHS Components to develop operational or contingency plans related to WMD, technical nuclear forensics, health security, and related matters (i.e. Component annexes to DHS level plans).
• Support to the PPD Director and CWMD Office in the DHS Operational Planning Executive Steering Committee and at other CWMD-related planning activities.
Education: M.S. or M.A. degree.
General Experience: Must have at least 10 years of experience performing planning analysis.
Specialized Experience: Must have at least 8 years of specialized experience in areas such as WMD contingency planning, WMD Operational planning, and long term strategic planning.
Experience with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) desirable.
Active Secret Clearance required
Must be able to successfully obtain a DHS Suitability clearance
