The System Engineer is needed to document all technical aspects of the development, testing and deployment process to support O&M, break-fix, and reuse of code.
Primary Job Duties
SAIC is building Robotic Process Automation for a large government customer. We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help us:
Support RPA developers and Business Analysts in developing a configuration management plan for all Bots
Not a one-size-fits-all problem as Bots are deployed to multiple agencies and offices within USDA each having different Change Control Boards (CCB) and other Configuration Management (CM) stakeholders and processes.
The individual will need to assess the CM landscape for the target organization in which Bots are to be deployed and make recommendations for integrating Bot CM requirements into the CM/CCB activities of that organization.
Review BA process description documents (PDD) and assist the BA in:
Identifying and documenting items needing CM to ensure Bots remain operational when deployed and after deployment.
Lead discussions with organizations’ CCB and other CM stakeholders to ensure the BA’s work can be supported by the receiving organizations.
Review developers’ testing output to ensure “as developed” matches “as planned” in terms of:
Verify that Bots interact with all systems as planned and are properly documented with the “as delivered” state.
Assist receiving organization with taking responsibility for CM with regards to the delivered Bot(s).
This may include assisting in the development of a tier 1, 2, 3 maintenance strategy
