Description

SAIC is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team.  The candidate will assist in the implementation of required security policies, awareness and training development, and make recommendations on security improvements based on industry best practices and emerging standards. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the continual development of security and compliance related strategies and initiatives that support SAIC’s core compliance objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Continuously reviewing industry-related security and compliance topics and proactively recommending timely changes to corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the maintenance of cybersecurity related policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with management to ensure the correct cybersecurity and compliance practices and policies are in place.
  • Assist with improving cybersecurity related training and awareness campaigns.
  • Assist in the development of new training and awareness campaigns.   
  • Complete other related activities as needed to support corporate objectives

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in cybersecurity or internal IT auditing.
  • CompTIA Sec+ CE or equivalent, or ability to obtain industry security certification within six months of hire.
  • Candidate should be familiar with at least one of the following guidelines:
    • NIST 800-171
    • NIST 800-53
    • NIST RMF
  • “Hands on” work philosophy.
  • Ability to work multiple tasks and work under critical deadlines while also producing quality detailed work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in situations of ambiguity.
  • Team player, flexible, and ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and negotiating skills.
  • Strong analytical, technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

The following qualities are desired:

  • Familiarity with FedRAMP and FISMA regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with security concepts associated with Cloud Computing, Infrastructure, Data Protection, Digital Mobility, Application Security, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/workflow management tools.
