SAIC is seeking a senior engineer to support test and evaluation of optical sensors and associated software at the AFRL’s Kinetic-Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (KHILS) facility at Eglin AFB, FL.
This activity is a multi-disciplined multi-contractor endeavor, and the work involves physics-based data generation, as well as test planning, execution, analysis and documentation. In addition, tasking will evaluate the use of a wide variety of sensor hardware technology to minimize loss of performance to enemy active optical counter-measures.
The applicant must have 15 or more years’ experience in the process of understanding and evaluating scanning and staring optical sensor system concepts operating in environments in electro-magnetically hostile environments, and providing this evaluation to senior program government personnel planning for sensor improvements.
15 or more years’ experience working in operating scene generation tools
BS degree in engineering or physics (or other closely related degree)
Must qualify for a US government secret security clearance (existing Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred)
Experience using and programing C++, Matlab/Simulink, and Python
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems environments
