The Space Systems Engineer (SSE) is a technical/ engineering professional who performs system or enterprise level systems engineering across the life-cycle on complex Space Systems acquisition processes. The SSE provides expert advice and manages systems engineering processes and implementation for System Program Office developed space system, including the space vehicle, payloads, launch vehicle, and ground systems. This position requires an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. The SSE will apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. The SSE is viewed as expert within the field.
Education: BS in aerospace engineering, science, or a relatable STEM field or equivalent recent experience in systems engineering or acquisition
Bachelors and twenty (18) years or more experience; Masters and eighteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen (15) years or more experience
Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Effective interpersonal briefing and writing skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast paced, dynamic environment
