SAIC is looking to fill a position for an experienced Windows System Administrator to assist our customer with the design, configuration, and implementation of collaborative project space folders on a large shared drive space.  The ideal candidate will meet with customers and other administrators to gain an understanding of the customer’s business and current state, determine the best design of the folders and permissions to meet security requirements on different levels of folders, and put the new structure into place. The individual will document processes as appropriate and provide training to those that will maintain the structure.





  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline and 2 years or more experience OR 6 years or more experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing system administration support on a Windows server to include configuring and setting up permissions servers
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Windows OS

  • Experience with setup and continuous operations of data backup solutions

  • Experience with information management, including development of user-friendly digital data storage structures as well as browsable and searchable archive storage solutions

  • Experience with design and management of collaborative data sharing spaces (e.g. SharePoint, EIMS, collaborative drive, metagroups, etc.)

  • Critical thinking and analysis skills

  • Applicant must have strong customer service skills, communications skills, documentation skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including strong interpersonal skills

  • Must have an active DOE Q and ability to obtain Sigma
