SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Launch and Early Operations of a new, first of a kind satellite collection system. The program is fast paced, with visibility at the highest customer levels. The individual selected will be responsible for executing the formulation and day-to-day management of ground collection field campaigns both in the United States and around the world for this new source. The program office is a lean operation affording the candidate wide latitude in how their tasks are performed and success or failure of the planned test.
Experience with working with foreign governments is highly desired. Experience in planning and executing the TIP process on previous programs is required, as well as a track record of performing on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will represent the SPO as prime technical contact on the project. The position interacts with senior leadership on significant technical matters which requires special coordination between organizations.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Counter Intelligence Poly
Education: BS in aerospace engineering, science, or a relatable STEM field or equivalent recent experience in systems engineering or acquisition
Experience based on education level: Bachelors and twenty (20) years or more experience; Masters and eighteen (18) years or more experience; PhD and fifteen (15) years or more experience
Effective interpersonal briefing and writing skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Desired Education: Master's or Doctorate in a relatable STEM field
Experience with space vehicle acquisition in the NRO
Expertise in the Tasking Collection Processing Exploitation and Dissemination system.
