SAIC is seeking a Logistics Lead to support an Army intelligence services and solutions contract.

The Logistics Lead will serve as SAIC’s lead subject matter expert and task lead for all logistics, sustainment and materiel procurement work in support of large, complex SAIC Program. Will advise both the SAIC Program Manager and Army customer on all aspects of lifecycle sustainment, logistics, and materiel procurement integration into a wide array of technical and analytical projects. Responsible for leading and managing process and quality controls for the efficient procurement of materiel (HW and SW), flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Must have demonstrated expertise in lifecycle planning, scheduling, and management across a complex technical solutions and services portfolio, as well as expert level experience in efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to the end user. Develops material requirements and scheduling requirements from end user specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. Develops capability and facility build-out plans and assessments. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management. Performs life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS).


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15+ years’ experience as a logistics lifecycle management for a complex technical solutions program with total value of $100M or greater
  • 5+ years of experience with Army ERP systems including LMP, DPAS, PBUSE, COLTS or RAID CLS
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience of global logistics & sustainment operations
  • Knowledge of the Army Acquisition Process for End Items and procurement of repair parts
  • Knowledge of Army Training Management and Training Development IAW TRADOC Regulations
  • Experience in warehouse operations: inventory management; shipping and receiving; transportation of real property both CONUS and OCONUS
  • Experience in compliance with federal, state, DoD and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements
  • Experience in conducting inventory and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) accountability procedures IAW current US Army policies.
Desired qualifications:
  • 10+ years with Army, Army National Guard, or US Army Reserves, preferably within Logistics discipline
  • Served or oversaw OCONUS field service representatives (FSRs) and/or logistic support teams
  • 5+ years with materiel procurement as purchaser or equivalent materiel processing specialist/manager
  • Level II DAU certification in Acquisition Logistics, or equivalent commercial certification
