Description

SAIC is seeking a Flight Simulator Production Specialist to support the MSAT Flight Simulator in Huntsville, AL.

 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Building a range of fixed space flight simulators. 
  • Assembling multiple racks of computer and I/O hardware, to include assembly of wire harnesses. 
  • Loading software and configuring network hardware from established baselines. 
  • Responsible from ensuring final integration and preparation for acceptance test procedures. 
  • Building systems in a computer lab environment and then deploying those systems to field locations. 
  • Working with the production and lead and systems engineers to improve and validate assembly procedures.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical discipline and 2 years of experience.
  • Will also consider HS and 6+ years of related experience in field Production or maintenance of structural and electro-mechanical assemblies/subassemblies in one or more of the following areas:
    • Avionic aircraft systems,
    • Ground control station,
    • Aircraft modification,
    • UAV/UAS/RPA systems,
    • Computer network data center,
    • Telecom systems,
    • Military communication or technology systems  
  • Must possess understanding and knowledge of common computer systems and programs and the ability to learn and improve upon an unfamiliar proprietary, computer systems
  • Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications

 

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proper installation, removal and repair of components and wire harnesses IAW technical drawings, blueprints, schematics,  technical orders, while adhering to mil-spec and industry standards
  • Taking prototype level systems to the production level.
  • Solving concerns including quality, serviceability, sustainability and transport concerns
