JOB DESCRIPTION:  The selected candidates will be responsible for designing, creating, testing and maintaining web sites and content that enrich and optimize the exchange of information and produce effective communications for our client and its customers. Selected candidates will support the following:
  • interact with SAIC team members and the client to gather and define requirements
  • analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy the client's needs
  • coordinate creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design
  • follow a formal design process that includes adhering to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of the web site end products
  • design and develop visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
  • deliver comprehensive web site solutions to satisfy customer requirements
  • maintain configuration management
Selected candidates will also participate in the following:
  • maintain a functioning user-accessible website
  • use HTML, Visual Basic, or other web-based programming languages to develop websites
  • website planning, design, development, and deployment
  • develop documentation concerning website requirements and designs
  • maintain website technical documents to facilitate maintenance and upgrades
  • apply concepts that enable the development, testing, maintenance and support of high-performance, innovative web-based applications
  • troubleshoot software problems and provide solutions to overcome/resolve issues using the available latest technologies
  • employ a variety of technologies and tools, including graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, XML), to create web page elements such as user interface features, site animation, special effects, databases, and e-business applications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or similar technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Minimum of four (4) years of web design and development experience similar to that described above is required
  • Four years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are required
