The successful candidate for this
position will have Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS Subject Matter experience with
DoD Acquisition and program management, engineering as well as test and
evaluation, preferably with Air National Guard or National Guard Bureau
experience, and will provide on-site support to the National Guard Bureau A5
Planning and Requirements group.
Provide program management, engineering, and test subject matter expertise to executing supporting ANG efforts related to both Ground and Airborne Sense and Avoid systems, as well as both Ground Control Segment and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) rapid/advanced integration of systems and system of systems.
Coordinating activity at multiple installation sites, management oversight for installation and testing activity for Sense and Avoid program to include external agencies (e.g., U.S. Army PM UAS, and Research Laboratories), plus other government agencies (e.g., FAA)
Managing contract vehicles for multiple government agencies, writing statements of work, coordinating funding documentation and required support agreements, tracking spending and monitoring Period of Performance, developing estimates, and acting as a point of contact for contracts-related activity.
The selected team member will be directly involved in Subcontractor oversight, program coordination between the sites and NGB, test and evaluation, and fielding of Air National Guard Sense and Avoid systems with a goal of enabling Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) flights in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Conducting periodic management reviews, updating superiors for program status and issues, and recommending courses of action for the program.
Manage/coordinate engineering airworthiness activities related to Modification Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC) to specific system(s) integration and testing.
Manage/coordinate cyber and security challenges related to payload and systems integration certifications and authorization(s) to operate.
Reviewing technical reports, prepare and review technical presentations, and manage multiple technical tasks for our government customer.
in UAS aviation-related program management, engineering and/or test experience.
All candidates must possess a current Top Secret TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered for employment.
10 years of Test and Evaluation experience required.
5 years with Airborne and Ground Sense and Avoid development and testing
Acquisition and contracts experience
Familiarity with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/Knowledge of UAS programs is a plus.
Test and Evaluation (development and operational) of multiple UAS platforms
UAS Ground and Airborne Sense (detect) and Avoid development and testing
FAA/DoD Airspace Integration and SC-228 (RTCA) Detect and Avoid Working Group 1 Minimum Operating Performance Standards (MOPS) development
Past Chief of Safety to include Technical and Safety Review Board experience
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, and excel at communication and relationship-building. The candidate must have strong problem-solving and communication skills (both written & oral).
