A challenging instructor position that equips military students with the knowledge and skills to perform operations, system configuration, system administration, network monitoring, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and restoration of the Naval Communication Systems including Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS). Responsible for preparing training materials and lab equipment for course delivery. This includes setting up and instructing both classroom and practical hands-on portions of the course, including learning activities and demonstrations. Implement and execute training courses using standardized Navy training practices and procedures.
Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training programs or activities to meet external customer or internal employee learning objectives. Assignments may include needs analysis, custom course development, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, and evaluation and learning assessments. Collaborates with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content.
Formal military training and experience on the following:
Microsoft MCSA certified
DoD Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF)/Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) IAT Level II
Three (3) years instructor experience
Formal instructor training, such as the Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Desired QualificationsMaster Training Specialist (MTS) qualification is preferred.
