Description

  Join SAIC's team to help DHS with overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing and new projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management to help protect the homeland. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract. Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. 

 

  Assist in maintaining changes to project baselines; monitor deliverables; assess documents, plans and applications; conduct quality reviews of projects and tasks. Prepare presentations and other materials to support project functions. Draft correspondence, reports, white papers, minutes, spreadsheets, communications products, briefs, and other documentation.  

 

  Maintain and track action items, and participate in meetings. Will be required to support the development of procurement requests in order to formulate various acquisition approaches. Assist in drafting various documents supporting a procurement. 

 

Specific areas of support are: 

· Borders, Immigration, and Maritime Security 

· Critical Infrastructure (such as Reliability, WebCloud, etc) 

· Emergency Response 

· Threat Vulnerability Test and Assessment 

· Public Health Support 

 

· Planning and Exercise Development

 

Qualifications

BA/BS degree and two (0-2) years or more of experience in analysis, engineering, or technical efforts related to complex system development or acquisition.  This includes, but is not limited to, experience supporting strategic planning, mission and requirements development, and program definition functions, and providing assistance in developing strategic vision.  

 

 Experience providing analysis to evaluate the degree to which differing systems solutions are effective and feasible. 

 

 Strong analytical acumen and experience with Microsoft Excel analysis, including complex Formula creation, Chart creation, and pivot tables. 

 

 Must have the ability to obtain at minimum, a DOD Secret clearance. 

 

 Must be a US Citizen. 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Desired Qualifications

 

 Travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS) may be required. 

 

 Prior DHS contractor fitness (suitability) authorization determination.  

 

 Prior DHS experience including any Components or Directorates of DHS.
