Description

SAIC is seeking a Sr. Software/Cloud Computing Engineer to work on the development of a cloud based database application. We are in the process of migrating our current application from a .Net web application to IaaS. You would work alongside our development team and aid in the development and deployment of this new application to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, develop and maintain tools to support the management of data on ephemeral environments including Microsoft Azure
  • Provide subject matter expertise for development and cloud operations to ensure that strong application performance management (APM) strategies are used to guide application development and operations
  • Participate in a highly-motivated and agile team that has a customer-first, cloud-first focus

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 4 additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Previous experience with web development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • Experience with Docker a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
