Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Collaborates with system engineers and software engineers to design, develop, install, deploy, operate, and manage the user interface (UI) for a large scale, enterprise application. Responsible for the overall design and functionality of multiple products in a portfolio. Has experience translating customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications, ensuring great user experience. Collaborates with User Experience (UX)/web designers and back-end developers to improve usability. Optimizes applications for maximum speed. Ensures high quality graphic standards and brand consistency. Candidates should have experience with Angular 2+ (Angular 6+ preferred), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Knowledge of 508 and accessibility needs is desired, but not required.
Provides expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter. Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated.
Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Expertise is in a particular area of Mission Information Technology (e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Shall have at least twelve (12) years experience as a Software Engineer in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, or problem diagnosis/resolution. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience
TS/SCI w/ polygraph
Desired qualifications
Desired: Familiarity with 4 or more of the skills/tech. listed: Front End UI Development; Middle-Tier, Back-End, or Full Stack Dev.; Data Modeling; DevOps; SOA, “wrapping” components as Web Services
