Join SAIC's team that supports the Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) – Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) And Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).  This position is contingent upon award of contract.


The NISSC II effort establishes requirements for OM&S that support classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS), Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB), Colorado.  The NISSC II OM&S TO also establish requirements for operations and maintenance support for the CMAFS Information Systems Infrastructure.  


SAIC is seeking Technical Service Analysts to support installation, operations, maintenance, repairs, and modification of equipment in support of 24X7 Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) Mission Maintenance work center by performing a variety of management, maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, cabling, of integrated systems, and subsystems,.

This position supports a 24X7 on site system administrator function responsible for maintaining the NORAD/NORTHCOM Command Center (N2C2) ITW/AA architecture. As a member of the team, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring system availability in support of the air defense and missile warning missions. System administration duties include proactive/reactive system checks, real time troubleshooting, and anomaly reporting/resolution. The N2C2 at Peterson AFB houses mission operations and 80+ Windows platforms. The ITW/AA server-side environment resides in the Cheyenne Mountain complex and at US Strategic Command in Omaha, NE. The on duty administrator must be able to take direction from and communicate with Cheyenne Mountain Mission Assurance Center (CMAC) personnel. They must also be able to work with fellow MAC administrators at US Strategic Command, Offutt AFB (OMAC). NMAC Crew members are responsible for coordinating, performing, and documenting day-to-day ITW/AA system administration activities and maintaining global ITW/AA situational awareness. Makes on-line and off-line configuration changes in support of operations, tests or exercises. Coordinates changes with contract customers, users, and/or program representatives. Assists in administering the N2C2 enterprise LAN/WAN. Provides real time system recovery utilizing program provided processes and procedures. Generate IRs (incident reports) to identify, document, and track system issues and anomalies. Familiarizes N2C2 customers and staff with ITW/AA enterprise structure and procedures. Provides N2C2 ITW/AA system technical recommendations and impact analysis to mission users, J3, and J6 customers. Directly involved in the coordination and execution of N2C2 ITW/AA system software upgrades, SCR implementation tasks, and test/exercise support.


  • Qualified candidate must have the ability to provide real time technical support to the N2C2 Mission Assurance Center by providing system administration, situational analysis, impact assessment, and issue resolution in support of 24X7 mission operations.

  • Must have the ability to interface with a broad range of customers and effectively communicate, facilitate, and execute operations focused tasks on behalf of mission leadership.

  • Ability to perform Windows system administration.

  • Experience with administrating a multi-level Active Directory structure is required.

  • Experience with HP Blade Architecture and Enclosure administration.

  • Experience with Altiris and/ or Symantec Management Console for server/client software deployment.

  • Experience using HP Operations Manager for system monitoring/management.

  • Experience with LAN/WAN network architecture, services, and functionality is required.

  • Experience cloning and reimaging Windows and Solaris servers is a plus.

  • Experience with any of the following platforms/applications is a plus: Solaris 10, Oracle, HP blade architecture, HP Operations Manager, HP Remote Graphics Software, LINUX, ESXi VMWare, Cisco and Juniper switch platforms, NetApp, and VSphere Virtual Center Server.

  • Must possess Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance.

  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.

  • Must have excellent technical and communications skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers at all levels. Must be able to work in a high visibility environment, focused on 24X7 mission availability, and quickly respond to customer direction/requests.

  • Familiarity with military customs and courtesies desired.

  • Must be willing to work in a mixed (Government and contractor) crew environment and adhere to a mission-essential schedule.

  • Willing and able to work a set shift schedule (13.3 hours in duration).

  • Candidate must meet minimum certification requirement for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”.

  • This position requires a minimum certification associated with IAT Level I, which may be met with an A+, Network+ or higher. Candidate must possess a qualifying 8570 certification within 3 months of hire date.
