Description

SAIC is looking for a Remote Project Scheduler to support the Army Ground Vehicle portfolio while working from home providing support for our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.


This job is temporarily remote due to COVID-19.


 

Job Description:  The candidate will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying size, complexity, and level of risk. This position directly supports Project/Task Leads and is responsible for the development and management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishment and maintenance schedule baselines
  • Development, maintenance, and reporting status of WBS tasks
  • Preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding schedule variances
  • Perform weekly analysis and prepare reports to support the development of program plans that ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured
  • Manage and facilitate weekly IMS reviews
  • Define timelines and dependencies
  • Identify critical path
  • Identify risk and conduct risk analysis

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience [4 yrs additional experience accepted in lieu of degree]

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Project related experience with scheduling and reporting
  • Proven experience working with all levels of management and technical teams
  • Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to support multiple projects concurrently
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Skills:   

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management and Milestones Professional
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience on large-scale software, hardware, and system development projects
