SAIC is hiring an Infantry Vehicle Squad (ISV) Product Support Specialist in Sterling Heights, Michigan to join our team !

Job Description:


We are looking for an Integrated Product Support Manager to lead an interdisciplinary team of engineers and logisticians in a dynamic and challenging environment. The manager will facilitate a team of engineers and analysts responsible for the following:


  • Writing, updating, and distributing Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and Technical Documentation associated with our products.

  • Acting as the liaison for customer inquiries on technical issues associated with our products and requests for customer support.

  • Developing maintenance and logistics needs of a vehicle during design and manufacture phases.

  • Developing and delivering Integrated Logistics Support requirements including Product Support Analysis, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Support Equipment Recommendation Data, Test Requirements Document, Spare Parts and Provisioning Data, Performance Based Logistics Modeling, Field Service requirements, Depot stand up and certification requirements, and PHS&T Data.

  • Executing Reliability and Maintainability requirements during development and tracking reliability performance on products to provide reliability analysis and trending data to internal and external customers.

  • Managing, logging, and tracking Data Deliveries made to our government customers.


Duties of the Discipline Manager include:

  • Supervisory responsibilities in alignment with business objectives, administering communication, performance, compensation, and recognition programs

  • Provide technical expertise and consultation as needed, including budget and schedule

  • Promote and represent the cultural values of the organization

  • Lead continuous improvement of technical capabilities, processes, and tools

  • Partner with project team leads to effectively staff execution projects and develop talent

  • Support new business pursuits, cost reductions, customer support, and project leadership

  • Proactively manage knowledge transfer - develop mentoring pairs, document procedures and lessons learned, identify best practices, etc.


Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience


Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Logistics Management discipline and 10+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience in project leadership role or functional management
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve cost, cycle time, customer and engineering process objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and motivate technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and coordinate with other functions and customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Experience in full lifecycle system development including requirements, design, integration and verification
  • Knowledge of Product Support, ILS and Reliability processes and procedures
  • Desire to continuously improve logistics processes and standards



Preferred Skills and Education:


  • Familiarity and experience with hybrid system programs in personal, commercial, or military ground vehicles
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (ie, Windchill), Requirements Management (ie, DOORS) and Configuration Management (ie, Synergy) tools
  • Familiarity with product and systems safety
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as Mil Handbook 217, ATA 100, S1000D
  • 2+ years of engineering management or project leadership experience
  • Previous experience leading team of 10 or more
  • Knowledge of test/support equipment development
  • Strong motivational leadership skills

  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
