We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented SQL Database Administrator to join our team to begin exciting and challenging careers with Unisys Federal Systems.

This position is the SQL Database Administrator (DBA) for the Team Unisys Joint Service Provider Platform Security Services (JSP PSS) contract. The successful candidate will provide administration and support for databases associated with the JSP PSS application list.

Please note that while this is primarily a Monday-Friday day shift position, the demanding operational customer environment requires that the successful applicant be able and willing to provide 24x7 DBA on-call coverage.

  • Hands-on working experience with SQL performance tuning and optimization.
  • Hands-on working experience with DoD STIGS, remediation, and documentation of findings.
  • Hands-on working experience managing and maintaining a large SQL Server (2008R2 +) & Oracle (11g +) Environment, including the following: SQL AGs (Always On Availability Groups); Microsoft Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC); and Oracle DataGuard.
  • Hands-on working experience migrating legacy database versions (2008R2+, 11g+) to newer versions (2016+,12cR2+).
  • Hands-on working experience with monitoring tools such as SCOM (System Center Operations Manager), Splunk, Tanium and built-in SQL & Oracle alerts.
  • Hands-on working experience with Microsoft Server OS and troubleshooting OS, IIS, Network, etc.

Education / Certification / Security Clearance Requirements:

  • BS degree in Comp Sci or cyber security and 5 years of relevant IT experience (please add that commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • At least an Interim Top Secret security clearance; applicants not possessing at least an interim TS clearance will not be considered.
  • DoDD 8140 cyber certification at IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) or better; applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered


  • Prior DoD or IC work experience within the past 5 years.
  • DoDD 8140 cyber certification at IAT Level III (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH)
