Job Summary

Responsible for the overall setup and configuration of the Contractor CDE, the BIM Execution Plan and a single point of contact for the S.O. ?

Working closely with our Senior BIM Manager, you will:

  • Act as BIM Information Manager on projects complying with ISO 19650 and PAS 1192-2:2013 requirements to meet BIM level 2 requirements.

  • Assist with developing the project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP) to meet the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR).

  • Manage the Project Information Model (PIM) in an efficient manner to comply with the BEP and any project standards and protocols.

  • Work with design teams to coordinate the design models, carry out model federation and extract information from the models for use by the project team.

  • Lead project-level, Interdisciplinary Design Reviews, conduct clash detection and report findings to the project manager.

  • Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) in accordance with project information standards and protocols including access controls

  • Be able to work without supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time, setting priorities to meet essential job functions.

  • Be able to work on multiple projects at once under demanding deadline

  • Be self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.

  • Be a good communicator with project teams and leadership.

  • Provide a leadership role to the junior modellers within the project team

  • Maintain an overview of developments in CAD/BIM technologies, relevant BIM standards and Codes of Practice.

  • Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvement in BIM practices.

  • Be responsible for providing the support of ProjectWise including project setups, system configuration, implementation of workflows & states, security, design tool automation such as drawing and model publication, markups and application integration, mobile access, use of Connect Edition features such as transmittals and dashboards, and conducting user training.

  • Work in cooperation with Digital and business line users regarding functionality and their use of ProjectWise.

  • Mentoring and coaching of ProjectWise and other related CDE tools & technologies.

  • Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) of the project, and the distribution of coordinated digital documents to the project teams.

  • Participate in Project coordination and progress meetings.

  • Collaborate with external consultants and other project stakeholders, ensure safe and efficient handling of shared BIM models in accordance with agreed CDE processes.

  • Any other duties deemed necessary and as assigned by the Senior Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have at least 10 years working experience with at least 5 years’ experience in BIM Management & at least 3 years worked for an engineering and construction company.

  • Good communication and presentation skills. Able to speak and write English.

  • Brief Knowledge in construction engineering and information technology.

  • Able to work in a fast pace environment. Self-driven and highly motivated.

  • Comprehensive understanding of electronic document management with strong emphasis on engineering design, including BIM and document/collaboration management standards.

  • Advanced training in ProjectWise administration.

  • Experience working with both Bentley and Autodesk design products.

  • Experience with project planning and tracking and co-ordination.

  • General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice, clash detection, quantity take off and drawing production.

  • Experience with specific industry and project (Commercial, Railways, Metros, Airports, Mixed-Use) is a strong advantage

  • Experience in design review process, model management and clash detention

  • Be conversant with BS1192 standards and relevant guidance associated with delivering a BIM environment to Level 2.

  • Experience in design review process, model management and clash detention in a multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Experience with Navisworks or Navigator would be highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must possess a degree in Engineering or other relevant certifications in BIM Applications and Management.
