Job Summary

  • Support environmental planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs and regulations

  • Review / assist in the review of development proposals and site plans

  • Collect a variety of data and prepares reports, maps and analysis on topics such as landforms, hydrology, ecology and cultural resources

  • Conduct field evaluations and assessments under direct supervision

  • Assist in evaluating environmental sensitivity, development suitability and sustainable development strategies

  • Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc / BEng or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Policy and Planning or related disciplines

  • Demonstrated research, writing, verbal and organization skills

  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills are preferred

  • Appreciation of broad range of environmental issues associated with planning and land-use zoning

  • Sound computer skills and abilities in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Skills in one or more specialized software packages (e.g., ArcGIS, Delft3D, MUSIC, Marxan)

  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English

  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
