Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal-Level Interior Designer to lead our Houston Area A/E Practice. The role will involve strategic and technical leadership of the practice with a focus on business development in the corporate market sector.

AECOM's Buildings + Places business line is dedicated to design excellence and integrated project solutions, with expertise including architecture, interiors, engineering, development, workplace strategy, economic planning, and master planning.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Position will involve managing and mentoring a group of architects, interior designers and project managers.

  • Depending on the candidate's preferences and capabilities, the position could possibly involve managing a MEP Engineering team.

  • KPI's include wins, bookings, profit, BDROI, and technical quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or related field plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

  • Professional Registration as an Interior Designer or the ability to obtain within 4 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience working with corporate clients

  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) AP (Accredited Professional)

  • Working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling)
