Job Summary

AECOM's Environment Business Line is currently seeking a Senior Remediation Professional to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The appropriately qualified candidate will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative multinational team focused on delivery of superior services to our clients. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Position requires extensive progressive experience.

  • Plans, schedules, and organizes all phases of a major project work activities related to scientific needs, ensures proper manpower budgets and controls and monitors expenditures and progress on projects.

  • Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require regular use of scientific principles and application of past experience.

  • Leads specific tasks and objectives by guiding the completion of major programs (may hold a project leadership role).

  • Applies extensive technical expertise to perform and publish research without appreciable direction.

  • Primary author or lead reviewer on major project documents.

  • Project delivery as part of the Winnipeg Remediation team.

  • Provide technical expertise in support of on-going and new AECOM remediation projects.

  • Work with other senior level staff to provide services for current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities.

  • Actively participate in business development activities by identifying opportunities, supporting proposal efforts, and developing winning strategies.

  • Prepare technical reports/deliverables related to contaminated site investigation, remedial planning and design, specifications, work plans, proposals, budgets, and project schedules.

  • Conduct technical reviews and complete analysis and design components for remediation projects.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants and external agencies.

  • Provide mentorship for remediation team members.

  • Support and drive AECOM quality, project management, and performance management systems.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 10 Years of related experience or Diploma/Certificate +12 Years of related experience or HS + 14 Years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field

  • Master's degree in Soil Science or equivalent.

  • 15+ years of remediation experience is preferred.

  • Proven track record in developing and sustaining client relationships

  • Previous technical leadership experience .

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours under a variety of conditions.

  • Strong demonstrated experience in environmental site assessments, remediation planning and design, and construction support from tendering to construction administration.

  • Strong capability for report writing, specifications development, and project management.

  • Knowledge of applicable Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario environmental regulations.

  • Excellence in communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that facilitate detailed planning, timely decision-making and efficient implementation.
