AECOM is seeking a Safety Advisor to join our IOL Kearl Project team for the upcoming 2020 Spring Turnaround/Shutdown Season.

This is a temporary role, supporting the site operations on various tasks relating to the shutdown work at IOL Kearl Plant.
Tentative Start Dates: Mid-End April
Approximate duration: 30 Days
Location: Fort Mackay Area
Travel: Charter flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton, and bus from Fort McMurray.
Accommodation: Camp accommodation will be provided to all workers
Day and Night shifts available
Develops and manages SH&E programs for the company, business lines, regions, and/or clients. Provides leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives. Assists the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations e.g. trained SH&E professionals in business/projects, officer duties, statutory reporting etc.
Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
Assists in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
Participates in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards.
Participates in employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.

In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Diploma / Certificate degree
Minimum 2 years’ experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Construction Safety ticket (CSTS – 09) or equivalent.
Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract required.
