Job Summary

AECOM has an immediate opening in our Cincinnati office for a seasoned Civil Engineer IV. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team

  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.

  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

  • Prepares technical specification sections.

  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university

  • Minimum certification: Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in the planning/evaluation, design, permitting and construction aspects of civil and environmental engineering projects, including most or all of the following technical aspects: solid waste management (industrial and/or municipal); coal combustion residual (CCR) management; site civil design/development; stormwater management; environmental permitting; industrial pond design/closure; construction package development (including design drawings, calculation packages, cost estimation, specifications development and familiarity with construction procurement processes)

  • Ability to guide and direct junior and mid-level staff

  • Excellent technical/report writing skills

  • Experience managing and directing multi-discipline, large scale engineering design and environmental infrastructure projects

  • Experience managing technical teams

  • Experience with preparation of scopes of work, project budgeting, scheduling, and business/development

  • Experience with proposal development, client interactions and established client relations

  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally

  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
