AECOM is actively seeking experienced, creative, and highly talented Energy Analyst to support Energy and Water Conservation for NASA Armstrong at Edwards AFB, CA.
NASA Armstrong is required to implement an Energy and Water Conservation Program to reduce its consumption of electricity, natural gas, and water.
The position shall work with the AFRC Energy and Water Conservation Manager to perform and successfully complete the following activities:
Manage utility use data (e.g., electricity, natural gas, water, waste water) and perform data entry using applications and programs including, but not limited to, the following:
Lucid Building OS
Energy Star Portfolio Manager
NASA Environmental Tracking System
Develop and implement methods to increase data management efficiency through computer-based automation.
Assist in perform energy and water conservation audits of buildings, systems, and processes to identify and document opportunities for reducing the use of utilities and associated costs (energy conservation measures - ECMs). Document existing site conditions through photographs, written reports, sketches, drawings, and other means as necessary.
Perform life cycle cost analysis of ECMs identified during energy and water conservation audits to enable comparison among alternative ECMs. This data will provide the basis for the EM to select ECMs for which to advocate funding.
Assist the EM in preparing documentation required to acquire design and construction project services to implement ECMs. Documentation includes, but is not limited to, the following: Cost and Schedule Estimates, Brief Project Document, Special Approvals & Affirmations of Acquisitions, Capitalization Determination Form (CDF), Purchase Requisition Supplement E. Perform measurement and verification tasks to determine the effectiveness of ECMs that are implemented. This will include comparing pre- and post-project utility use data, documenting results, and making recommendations to improve the energy and water performance of systems and buildings.
Assist the EM in maintaining an electronic file of all data and project documentation that shall be organized in a format prescribed by the client.
HS + 6 Years of relevant experience or AA/AS + 4 Years of relevant experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security pre-employment background check.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dusts, dryness, noise, chemicals, vibration and in the presence of heavy, moving equipment; position requires often standing/walking and lifting less than 25 pounds; occasionally power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), operation of vehicles, work at heights, climbing stairs, performs work on electrical circuits, work in confined spaces, keyboard/mouse operations, repetitive or fine hand movements, performing work alone in isolated/remote areas and lifting 25-50 pounds; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending/stooping, using portable ladders, wearing fall protection, and operation of heavy, moving, or dangerous equipment. Position will require wearing associated personal protective equipment.
Degree in engineering, Architecture or related degree and 2+ years of relevant experience highly preferred.
