Job Summary


  • Define Scope of Roles and Responsibilities on a project

  • Establish and Implement BIM/Information Management Procedures

  • Manage Communication, Information Exchange/Flow

  • Manage information quality and quality assurance procedures

  • Create workflows and Monitor/Control Progress

  • Coordinate information exchange

  • Ensures the security of all digital project information

  • Prepare, agree and communicate project Information Management plans to deliver the service with support of Design Management team.

  • Ensure effective communications systems are in place.

  • Deliver training to staff on information management systems

  • Support Design Management team in establishing and implementing design procedures and necessary for successful delivery.


  • Working knowledge of BS/PAS1192/ ISO19650

  • Prepare BIM Execution Plan for Projects

  • Support implementation / management of BIM during design, construction and handover (level of involvement varies on a project basis)

  • Understanding of quality management systems

  • Knowledge of digital handover process

  • Manage CDEs (Common Data Environments) including Asite, Viewpoint/ 4Projects, ProjectWise, Autodesk 360 and Aconex

  • Introduce more sophisticated technologies and/or methodologies to improve the efficiency of communication

  • Contributes to technical project documentation deliverables, taking responsibility of accuracy and flow of content

  • Assesses capability and training needs and proactively implements training and support when required

  • Responsible for verifying final Project Information Models against the Master Information Delivery Plans

  • Under general supervision, provides analysis on projects. Executes work plans and task definition, participates in data collection.

  • Participates in development of solutions to client problems with a focus on financial analysis and capital investment under the guidance of a more senior manager.

  • Assigned as a consultant to a wide variety of areas.

Minimum Requirements

  • A comprehensive understanding of the design process.

  • Experience in managing Information teams in the delivery of complex multi-disciplinary projects

  • Experience in development and implementation of BIM / information management tools and procedures

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Commercial awareness of projects.

  • Proficiency in MS Project/ Excel/ Adobe InDesign

  • Can work under pressure and to timescales

Preferred Qualifications

A degree in a relevant field

  • Design / Construction knowledge/experience and project life cycle

  • Understanding of information security

  • BPSS and/or SC Security Clearance

  • Ability to identify, map and manage processes

  • Good technical ability, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Ability to manage, support, motivate and develop staff

  • Ability to work under pressure and to timescales
