Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager to provide construction management for Marine/waterfront construction projects. Some of the responsibilities include;

Overseeing construction in the field.

Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

NYC Agency experience

Construction experience

15 years experience in marine construction (as Resident Engineer and/or Site Superintendent);

Strong leadership skills to oversee construction contractors and AECOM support team of inspectors, resident engineers, and superintendents.

Proven ability to manage and coordinate subconsultants, subcontractors and special inspectors

Strong communication skills - especially with Client

Proven ability to control construction costs, budgets, schedule, quality and safety
