Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Civil Designer/EIT as a Project Coordinator for employment in the Mississauga office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide project coordination / control between the designs departments and on infrastructure projects (Railways) to ensure compliance with Railway Standards.

  • Project coordinator for transportation / rail projects including freight-rail and transit-rail.

  • Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks.

  • Typical duties will include:

  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings

  • Monitor project costs and budgets

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports

  • Review documents (drawings, reports, contractor shop drawings, etc.)

  • Acts as liaison between different design department and compliance with Railway;

  • Set up new projects and track monthly billing.

  • Prepare project schedules and monitor progress of work of the teams

  • Review and compile client submittals

  • Write technical specifications and bid documents

  • Project documents control

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
