AECOM’s Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial needs. Our project in Santa Rosa supporting a government program is currently seeking a Project Engineer to support the project manager and construction onsite.
This role will be based in Santa Rosa, CA .
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Provides field and administrative services support including preparation of correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and slide presentations, receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing documents, receptionist duties, and related duties including entering documents into the MIS (SharePoint or other document control systems).
Provides administrative assistant support and manages the office with regards to supplies/purchases to support the project team.
Answers phones and directs calls.
Works with AECOM vendors to support the office.
Receives, copies, and files all incoming and outgoing documentation.
Prepares and maintain files in accordance with project document control procedures.
Responsible for maintaining the final project archive documents per Client record requirements. Coordinates and manages the archive files.
Collects daily reports and maintains the Daily Report Log.
Assists in processing incoming and outgoing RFIs, Submittals, Pay Requests, PCOs, COs, Safety Concerns, Non-Compliance Notices, and other construction management related documentation at the site.
Assists in the processing of pay applications for accuracy before forwarding to Client for approval.
Assists in preparing Monthly Reports, and other special reports as requested by the CM.
Prepares meeting minutes and other correspondence for the Project team.
Assists the Construction Project Management team at the site, which is expected to consist of the AECOM Construction Manager, the State’s Project Director(s), and State’s inspectors.
Receives continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility
Prepares reports, as required, and keeps Construction Manager informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
Under guidance of Construction Manager, monitors work performance and of contractor to ensure project plans and schedules are followed.
Monitors the project pre-plan which includes a CPM schedule, work sequences, manpower utilization, material handling and storage requirements and equipment use.
When requested, interfaces with client, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction.
Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, and contractor to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards and that the project is completed on time and within budget.
Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
Experience with California DGS Projects
Experience with government construction
Familiarity with government project tracking software
5+ years minimum experience in Construction Administration.
Proactive problem solver.
Ability to adjust to changing job environments.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Office, SharePoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be detail oriented, thorough, and well-organized and effectively manage time.
Must be flexible and able to work in a very fast paced work environment and at times under the pressure of meeting critical deadlines.
Ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment and be able to prioritize multiple tasks.
Background in construction or engineering related work activities to understand the terminology used in the office environment on a daily basis
