Senior Proposal Coordinator

Position located in Greenbelt, MD

KBR is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to assist with managing multiple proposal efforts simultaneously. Ideal candidate will work closely with proposal managers, proposal writers, editors, and business development managers to produce proposals that are responsive to customer-defined requirements. The Senior Proposal Coordinator will establish consistency and provide administrative support during the proposal development process. Often, the Proposal Coordinator will prepare the proposal production plan, manage assignments, and collect and organize proposal content.


  • Review RFIs/RFPs/RFQs for proposal production/documentation guidelines and work with the proposal manager to develop production schedules; follow all proposal department guidelines and procedures
  • Prepare review drafts and storyboard templates; schedule meetings; and track the completion of assignments
  • Provide administrative support to the capture and proposal managers, as required
  • Schedule conference rooms for proposal efforts
  • Attend daily proposal status meetings
  • Communicate with other Proposal Coordinators to establish proposal priorities
  • Provide proposal reproduction support: perform document production, binding, mailing, and shipping
  • Manage electronic proposal files using a proposal management tool like the Virtual Proposal Center (VPC)
  • Ensure security and integrity of all proposal documentation
  • Interface with Sr. Manager of Production and the production team in creation and editing of graphics and documents for proposals
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining continuous communication with team leaders
  • Establish necessary guidelines to produce a comprehensive, accurate, and concise product
  • Review text and illustrative material for syntax, effectiveness of approach, organization, expression, clarity, conciseness, and consistency
  • Edit final copy prior to publication to ensure the proper use of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and word usage


  • Completion of an undergraduate degree, minimum 7 years of experience, 5 + years coordinating Government procurements
  • Understanding of Federal contracting bid process
  • Familiar with capture and business development tools such as GovWin
  • Strong administration, coordination, and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment often with short notice to meet deadlines
  • Occasional long hours and weekends required
  • Expedite product delivery within established time constraints
