Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a new Front-end developer to join our NY City's rapidly growing development team in the design and delivery of innovative web-application for both internal and external clients. This role requires a strong attention to detail as you will be responsible for coding, maintaining and optimizing responsive web sites in collaboration with UI/UX designer. You must be driven with the ability to adapt and seek out new ideas and technologies.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing layouts and features

  • Work in a collaborative fast-paced environment

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Work closely with UI/UX designer providing technical feasibility and recommendations

  • Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability

  • Provide website maintenance and enhancements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree of Science with a Computer Science or other related field

  • Experience in CSS3 and HTML5

  • Strong understanding in JavaScript

  • Front-end framework experience (React / Redux, Angular, Backbone)

  • Experience working with API’s

  • Attention to detail and quality in design

  • Experience in fast-paced Agile Development Environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • MySQL or Dynamo

  • AWS S3 and EC2 experience

  • Full-stack Javascript development experience (Node.js)

  • Experience with mobile development Android/OS
