AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated CAD Technician for employment in the Whitby, ON office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Works under direct supervision performing moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, drawings, sketches and results from computer systems and schematics.
Will be responsible to create drawings using AutoCAD using correct layering and layout techniques.
Will be responsible to review shop drawings and perform quantity estimates from existing drawings.
May be involved in training.
May perform some data entry.
May be asked to perform field visits to assist in the inspection of existing structures.
College Diploma in a relevant discipline area: civil, structural
Certificate program in computer drafting
Experience with Civil 3D is preferred
Knowledge of building construction or bridge construction is preferred
